The North American Synchrophasor Initiative joins with the International Energy Agency’s International Smart Grid Action Network, Transmission & Distribution Annex 6, to host the first International Synchrophasor Symposium. This meeting will feature several nations’ synchrophasor projects and accomplishments, and focus on the use of synchrophasor technology for system protection, wide-area monitoring and situational awareness, and emerging applications for electric distribution. There will be a vendor and exhibit show on the afternoon and evening of Wednesday, March 23.
